Privacy Statement (English)

This privacy statement explains how Paul & Erwin vzw collects and processes personal data when you visit our website, submit the contact form, or when tracking technologies such as Google Analytics, the Google Ads pixel and the Facebook pixel are used. This statement is prepared in accordance with the GDPR and Belgian law.

2. What personal data do we collect?

a) Data via the contact form:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number (if provided)
• Message and any attachments
• IP address and timestamp (technical metadata)

b) Tracking and cookies:

• Google Analytics (web analytics)
• Google Ads pixel (remarketing/retargeting and conversion tracking)
• Facebook/Meta pixel (retargeting and ad targeting)
• Other cookies used for functionality or analytics (see cookie policy)

3. Purposes and legal basis

We process personal data for the following purposes:

• Responding to contact inquiries and communication (legal basis: pre-contractual measures / legitimate interest / consent where applicable).
• Improving the website and collecting statistics (Google Analytics) — legal basis: consent or legitimate interest depending on processing; we request analytics consent via the cookie banner.
• Targeted advertising, remarketing and retargeting via Google Ads and Facebook/Meta — processing is based on consent via the cookie banner or, where lawfully permitted, legitimate interest; you can withdraw consent at any time.

4. Sharing with third parties

Personal data may be shared with:

• Service providers providing hosting, email or analytics services (processors).
• Advertising and analytics platforms: Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Ads) and Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd (Facebook pixel) — these providers have their own privacy policies and may process data outside the EU/EEA.

We enter into data processing agreements with processors where required and require appropriate security measures.

5. Retention periods

Contact form submissions and related data are retained for up to 24 months unless a longer retention period is required by law. Tracking and advertising data are retained according to the retention policies of the respective platforms (Google, Facebook) or our technical logs where applicable.

Under the GDPR you have the following rights:

• Right of access
• Right to rectification
• Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to restriction of processing
• Right to data portability
• Right to object (including profiling/targeted advertising)
• Right to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
• Right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (APD / GBA)

7. Cookies, pixels and how to opt out

We show a cookie banner allowing you to accept or refuse non-essential cookies (analytics, advertising, remarketing). You can also:

• change your cookie choices via the cookie settings on this site.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data (TLS/HTTPS, restricted access, agreements with processors).
